PMA2020/Côte d’Ivoire is collecting data in 73 nationally representative enumeration areas. This project is led by the Direction de Coordination du Programme National de Santé de la Mère et de L’Enfant/ National Program for the Health of the Mother and Child (DC-PNSME) within the Ministry of Health, and implemented by the Institut National de la Statistique (INS)/National Statistics Agency in Côte d’Ivoire.
PMA2020/Côte d’Ivoire Principal Investigator: Mr. Andoh Kouakou Hyacinthe
Mr. Andoh Kouakou Hyacinthe is Statistician, Deputy Director-Coordinator of the National Program for Mother and Child Health. He has been involved in reproductive health and family planning for several years. He is working to increase and shine light on the use of contraception to help reduce the maternal, neonatal and infant mortality ratio and for Côte d'Ivoire to achieve the benefits of the demographic dividend. He participated in the collection, processing, and analysis of data of several studies. He contributed to the writing of the 2011-2012 Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) report.
PMA2020/Côte d’Ivoire Principal Investigator: M. Doré Désiré Emmanuel AKA
Mr. AKA Doré Désiré Emmanuel is the Director of Demographic and Social Statistics at the Institut National de la Statistique (INS) in Côte d' Ivoire. His research experiences include several demographic surveys and studies including the Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS), Multiple Indicator Surveys (MICS) and Living Standards Surveys (LSS). His expertise in this area ranges from design and data collection to analysis of results. His research in Family Planning in Côte d' Ivoire has focused on the family planning component of the Neonatal Emergency Obstetric Care Survey, and the Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) through an in-depth study on family planning needs with UNFPA funding. He has also conducted gender research and is an expert on migration issues. Mr. AKA obtained a degree in geography from the University of Abidjan before obtaining a degree in demography at IFoRD in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
PMA2020/Côte d’Ivoire Data Manager: Mr. Boti Bolou Bi David
Mr Boti Bolou Bi David is an engineer in statistics and economics. He is currently a member of the Institut National de la Statistique of Côte d'Ivoire, responsible for developing the regional action strategy, coordinating production activities and disseminating regional statistics. He has extensive experience in the management of large-scale survey data, including surveys on household living standard in Côte d'Ivoire.
