Implant Removal Memo >  These reports present findings from questions asked to current implant users. The questions focused on quality of counseling and accessibility of removal services and were developed in collaboration with FHI 360.

PMA2015/Kenya Implant Use and Removal Memo: Questions on implant use and removal were added to the fourth round of data collection in Kenya, which took place from May 2014 to December 2015.

PMA2016/Ethiopia Implant Use and Removal Memo: Questions on implant use and removal were added during the fourth round of PMA2020 data collection in Ethiopia (PMA2016/Ethiopia-R4), conducted between March and April 2016. 

Availability and Use of Subcutaneous Injectables > A brief highlighting the trends in use of the subcutaneous injectable (DMPA-SC or Sayana Press®) captured by PMA2020 surveys. PMA2020 is the first population-based survey to collect nationally representative data on the uptake of this innovative contraceptive injectable.

Trends in contraceptive use and unmet need (PMA2020 and DHS): This table provides percentages for total contraceptive prevalence (CPR), modern contraceptive prevalence (mCPR), and unmet need and 95% confidence intervals from PMA2020 surveys and nearest Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), for all women and married women ages 15 to 49 years.
